At Fundex Equipment, you will work on innovative and heavy foundation machines used worldwide. From our location in Middelburg and at customer sites, you ensure that our installations continue to perform optimally.
As a Service Technician, you will be frequently on the road, but also regularly based in Middelburg for maintenance, preparation, and overhaul work. You will work with modern technology and enjoy a high level of independence in your role.
What will you do?
At the company (often in collaboration with colleagues):
- Setting up and testing new machines
- Preparing machines for transport
- Performing service, maintenance, and repair work on used machines
On location:
- Performing service checks on hydraulic systems and components as well as diesel engines
- Inspecting and maintaining systems in the machine such as central lubrication systems
- Delivering and commissioning new or used machines
- Explaining and guiding (new) customers from A to Z on assembling, operating, maintaining, and preparing machines for transport
- Diagnosing and resolving all types of malfunctions, including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and engine-related issues
- Often working independently, in cooperation with customer personnel, or together with a colleague for larger projects
- Using a fully equipped service van for on-site work
In addition, you have:
- An independent and responsible work attitude
- A curious mindset and not afraid to take initiative; you think two steps ahead
- The ability to work well both in a team and independently
- A solution-oriented and safety-focused approach
- Careful handling of parts, tools, and machines during installation and service work on foundation equipment
- Responsibility for maintaining tools and other equipment in good condition
- Compliance with safety regulations
- Good command of Dutch and English; German is a plus
- Experience is an advantage, but the right attitude is most important
Your working environment
You will have a varied role working both in Middelburg and at customer locations. Your service van will be your mobile workplace, equipped with all necessary materials to independently carry out maintenance and resolve malfunctions.
No two days are the same: you will switch between workshop tasks, projects, and international service assignments.

Apprenticeship / entry-level pathway
Even as a student or starter, you are welcome at Fundex. If you do not yet meet the level or experience of a fully qualified technician (for example MBO level 3–4), you can join our company and grow step by step. Through practical experience, guidance, and training, you will develop into a fully skilled professional within our team.
